Somewhere in the summer of 2016, whilst visiting an exciting noise/pirate radio/location theater/bicycle event happening in Antwerp, Oscar Wyers got to know Jo Caimo. (Actually - they first met at Kraakfest 2015, where they were both volunteers.)

Caimo, conductor of the megaphone ensemble, instrument builder and inventor of non-commercial but hyper mediative products. Also radiomaker on Antwerps Radio Centraal (together with naughty cop Sjoerd Leijten, a bi-weekly program around sound art and politics) and band member of the illustre pan-ethnic ritual improvisation ensemble Varkenshond.

A shared interest in DIY publishing sparked a friendship. Between Caimo and Oscar Wyers, as the recording artist Thavmatvrgist. During this time Thavmatvrgist released some music as OGW on the SorrySorrySorry label compilation “Pink House - Pink Noise”. He played a walkman mixing noise show at the former Pinkhouse in Antwerp. All these professional handshakes in the music industry. After these things had proved promising, they met, and performed a series of exercises conducted on the various bigger and smaller bridges over the Visserij Vaart and Leije in Gent. Via these exercises Caimo introduced Thavmatvrgist to the principles of Chaos Yoga and showed his skills on the Oboe. Caimo was impressed by his mastering of the bongos and freeform speech. Of the Thavmatvrgist’s. All followed by an official, or ritual if you will, initiation to this special form of Yoga. It meant Thavmatvrgist was invited by the offering of a blank cd-r to make musical works for a new label to be called Chaos Yoga. He started producing feverishly - but the whole project was put on hold and overshadowed by an “umzug” to Berlin.

Now fast forward to 2020... returning to Barreuh Records, that present "Music 4 Chaos Yoga", Thavmatvrgist is happy and pleased to finally pay tribute to the lessons he was teached in Chaos Yoga, and share this part of his explorations in music.
